The Role
We are seeking an experienced Print Finisher to join our busy production
environment. You will be responsible for operating a wide range of finishing
equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. The role requires strong
attention to detail, the ability to work to tight deadlines, and hands-on technical
knowledge of finishing processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate a variety of finishing machinery including:
o Cutting & Trimming – Guillotines (Polar, Wohlenberg, or equivalent).
o Folding – Stahlfolders, MBO or similar.
o Binding – Perfect binding, PUR binding, Saddle-stitching
o Laminating & Coating – Encapsulation and digital lamination
machines.
o Die-cutting, Creasing & Perforating – Cylinders or platen machines.
• Check work against job specifications and conduct quality checks throughout
the finishing process.
• Ensure jobs are completed on time, in full, and ready for dispatch.
• Assist with machine set-up, calibration, and routine maintenance.
• Minimise waste by ensuring efficient use of materials and accurate setup.
• Follow production schedules and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, keeping the workspace safe and
organised.
• Support colleagues across the department with cross-training and flexible
working as required.
Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Print Finisher in a high-volume print production
environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of finishing processes and machinery.
• Strong eye for detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues.
• Organised and able to manage workloads under pressure.
• Flexible and team-oriented approach.
