Duties:

 

The Purchasing and Production Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing the procurement process within our organisation. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of supply chain logistics.

 

Experience required:

 

Duties

 

•Processing orders with supply chain for products and materials.

 

•Ensuring lead times and delivery dates from supply chain are managed and communicated to other departments as required.

 

•To calculate part requirements from work schedules.

 

•Assist the manufacturing manager with maintaining stock control and reorder levels.

 

•Ensure all costs are entered on the ERP software and prices checked prior to ordering.

 

•Liaising with suppliers over lead times and identifying the most cost effective and efficient solutions for the requirements.

 

•Assisting the manufacturing manager with goods in administration and following up with suppliers any items damaged/omitted as necessary.

 

•Maintaining excellent communication with other departments to ensure deadlines are met.

 

•Ensuring customer is kept up to date with order status and delivery date to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

•Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and pricing.

 

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities

 

Skills

 

Advanced level of Microsoft Excel required for creating , managing and analysing data for production figures and reports

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous terms

Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles

Solid understanding of supply chain processes and logistics management.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
