Duties:
The Production Planner will plan all aspects of production, working closely with the Sales team, the Drawing Office and the Stores team. You will also be responsible for:
The responsibilities
- Issuing lead times and completion dates to departments
- Manage the hours for each job
- Manage holidays for five departments, factoring these into the job hours.
- Manage the specification register with the Managing Director
- Request information to order parts and steel ahead of arranged build dates
- Ensure daily operations are in line company processes and procedures, implementing new ideas for better results
- Ensure good housekeeping
Experience required:
- Experience in a manufacturing/engineering sector
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving and organisational skills
- Confident in computer skills, including Microsoft office, excel, etc
- Team player, who can drive a positive, energetic team
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Positive attitude to deliver excellent results
- Demonstrate ambition and a drive to succeed in their career
- First Aid trained (advantageous)
