Duties:
Applicant must be able to read engineering drawings and work on their own initiative to a high standard. Mainly MIG welding but some TIG work required,
The work is mainly fabrication and sheetmetal. Must be able to work within a small engineering environment and understand and be completely conversant with the English Language.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment according to drawings and specifications
- Perform various welding techniques, including MIG & TIG welding, to join metal components
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces
- Read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams to determine project requirements
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience required:
- Proven experience as a fabricator/welder or similar role
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including stick welding
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in metal fabrication
- Knowledge of sheet metal work is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work

Hours -
39 hours per week - 7.30am - 4.30pm Mon - Thurs, 7.30am - 12.30pm Fri
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
